Here at The Skin Boutique we offer non-ablative fractional skin resurfacing laser (Frax 1550) to
address a wide range of skin resurfacing or scarring concerns. Frax 1550 is a fractional non-ablative
laser that has very few side effects and less downtime than ablative lasers. The Frax 1550 is specific
for addressing:
• Treatment of skin texture, Fine Lines and Wrinkles
• Treatment of improving and repairing Sun Damage
• Treatment of minimising Age Spots
• Treatment can be used to repair damage on Face, Neck, Chest, Hands and Arms

How many sessions do I need?
Up to 4 sessions to achieve desirable results.
However multiple sessions can be done to maintain results and to continually boost collagen
production.

Is there any downtime?
The huge advantage of non-ablative laser resurfacing, contrary to ablative resurfacing, is that there
is a minimal, if any post-recovery period. In other words low risk and rapid recovery. There may be
some redness post treatment, but this subsides within a few minutes following the treatment.

to the vessel being treated. This causes the blood inside the vessel to heat up, causing the wall of
the vessel to collapse. The vessel is reabsorbed naturally by your white blood cells. The skin
surrounding the vessel is not affected by the treatment

Who can be treated?
Any skin type can be treated, however it does depend on the size of your leg vessels and also you
medical history

How many sessions do I need?
This depends on the number of vessels to be treated. We usually recommend 1-3 sessions

ND:YAG treatment offers a reliable and effective treatment without the risk of uncomfortable side
effects.
What are the symptoms of nail fungus?
• Yellow streaks in the nail bed and on the underside of the nail
• A build up of debris under the nail
• A discoloured, thickened nail that may separate from the skin under the nail
• A powdery nail surface, as the infection gets worse
• A brittle and broken nail

How does the treatment work?
A series of flashes of infrared light is aimed across the whole nail, including the nail folds. This heats
up and destroys the fungus that is present. To ensure complete coverage, the whole series of pulses
is repeated four times and the individual flashes overlap each other

How many sessions do I need?
We recommend a series of 4 sessions every 2-4 weeks followed by a follow up session 2 months
after the last treatment
